DARRAGH MURRAY TO WIN FIRST SENIOR CAP!
DARRAGH MURRAY has been selected on the Ireland team to take on Georgia in the opening fixture of their two Test Summer series on Saturday when he will become Ireland international number 1169. Head Coach Paul O’Connell, also a lock, has chosen Darragh to make his senior debut against a team renowned for their forward ability and toughness.
It is a great birthday present for the product of Buccaneers RFC, who will be 24 on Friday (Independence Day)! He was awarded his first Connacht senior cap in 2022. In the interim he has played over 30 times for the province and recently acquitted himself quite well when playing for Ireland A against a strong England side.
The hugely promising, athletic and competitive forward is a native of Lisbrock in South Roscommon and he is a past pupil of St. Aloysius College in Athlone.
Everyone at Buccaneers proudly wishes Murray all the best for this latest exciting development in his career. Carpe Diem, Darragh!
The match kicks off at 6 p.m. Irish time and will be broadcast on Virgin Media.
