BUCCANEERS 0 WESTPORT 34
Last Sunday our new Senior Women’s squad lined out against Westport RFC in the second round of the Connacht Invitational Cup at Dubarry Park. It was a tough day on the pitch, with the experienced Westport side coming away with a 34-0 win in this Pool C encounter. This didn’t deter the Buccs women playing strong to the final whistle.
Learning is key and improvements will come for this squad through a good mix of experienced players and brand new players to the game. The afternoon was completed by a packed house to watch the Ireland V New Zealand Womens Rugby World Cup match. Thanks to Westport for travelling over.
