BUCCANEERS WOMENS squad continued their learning curve when they entertained Little Rock Stormers in ideal conditions at Dubarry Park on Saturday. The American tourists, who play at a higher level, were a much more experienced outfit and their athleticism and support play proved too hot for the hosts with their No.8 Lucy Owen and centre Abby Vestal being highly influential.
The Athlone girls were not helped by a couple of early injuries but dug deep and will have learned considerably from this outing as they continue to develop and improve. Meanwhile some good old fashioned rugby hospitality was enjoyed by both squads on Friday night and also after the match in The Bounty!
