TV’s “MORNING IRELAND” BROADCAST FROM BUCCANEERS

VIRGIN MEDIA BROADCAST FROM BUCCANEERS.

VIRGIN MEDIA TV broadcast several sections of its flagship “Morning Ireland” show from Buccaneers RFC on Thursday morning. Scores of young Buccs attended at Dubarry Park from the early hour of 7.30 a.m. on schools’ mid-term break along with proud parents and club officials and volunteers.

The players of the future went through their paces for the TV camera and anchor man Deric O’h’Artagain got in on the act too, togging out in club attire as he joined the onfield activities! Fortunately, the weather although fresh and breezy held dry for the duration of the visit during which Deric interviewed club president Lorna Stuart Trainor, senior captain Frankie Hopkins and Minis co-ordinator Declan Brady. Deric’s interaction with all and sundry was first class, ensuring that the production was seamless.

The exposure showed Buccaneers in a very positive light with our youngsters in particular representing the club so well. Thanks to all who attended, especially those who co-ordinated with Virgin Media and organised the young players, and to our ladies who looked after the welcome hospitality at the end of the event.
