BUCCS AWAY TO CORINTHIANS
BUCCANEERS head west on Saturday to face Galway Corinthians in the second round of the Bank of Ireland Connacht Senior League. Please note that this match takes place at Dangan where the kick-off is at 2 p.m. The game will be preceded by the two clubs’ Seconds squads facing each other in the Christy Reid Cup with the action there getting under way at 12 noon.
This week’s league joust will be a tougher hurdle for the Pirates as the hosts recorded a fine 29-14 bonus point victory away to Sligo. Mark Boyle, John Claffey and Colm de Buitlear will be key performers for the westerners but, if Buccs maintain the workrate and endeavour shown against Galwegians, this can be a competitive affair.
