City of Armagh won Division 1B last season and have been promoted while Malone and Banbridge were both relegated so Buccs have only one trip north to face 2A champions Queen’s University, whom the Pirates pipped the previous year! There are two trips to Cork to face University College Cork and Highfield while this season will see a fixture in Limerick against Garryowen; that’s one Davey will be keen to win! Four Dublin clubs remain in 1B:- Old Belvedere, Old Wesley, St. Mary’s College and promoted Blackrock College. Naas complete the ten clubs in this division.
