FIRSTS HOME TO GARRYOWEN

BUCCS HOME TO GARRYOWEN

BUCCANEERS final home Energia All-Ireland League game of the season heralds the visit of Garryowen to Dubarry Park on Saturday when kick-off for this Division 1B game is 2.30 p.m. The famed Limerick club was relegated from the top flight last season and are still acclimatising to the competitive fare in the second tier. They have exciting talent in their squad including Oran McNulty, Jack Oliver and (a name from the past) Gordon Wood while Liam Coombes and very experienced Neil Cronin could feature. They lie in seventh position following a high-scoring win over Blackrock College last week.

Buccs have picked up ten points in their last three outings so the team is shaping up better now with more sustained performances. Mentors will sweat on injury concerns for Danny Qualter, Mark Earle and Liam McNamara while Sean O’Connell’s availability would be a welcome boost.
The club is hosting its traditional Christmas pre-match function for this fixture. €35 per person for meal with complimentary wine and free admission to the game. Groups and individuals can be catered for. Contact our Administrator Geraldine at 0861732711 to book.

BUCCANEERS SECONDS are home to Sligo in their penultimate Bank of Ireland Connacht Junior 1B League fixture on Sunday. Kick-off is 2.30 p.m. Buccs will be striving to maintain their 100% success rate which would guarantee them top spot before the mid-season break.

BUCCANEERS U-20’s will be hoping to build on last week’s win when they travel to face De La Salle Palmerstown in the J.P.Fanagan Leinster League Premier 2 at Kirwan Park on Sunday. The action in Kilternan in the Dublin foothills commences at 2 p.m.

GIRLS

Buccaneers U-14 Girls travelled to Ballina intent on maintaining their unbeaten run in 2023-2024 Bank of Ireland League Tier 1.
