Buccaneers U-16 yellow team were fortunate to squeeze in a training game v Buccs U-15s on Saturday. The match was played at a frenetic pace with debutant referee Ethan Friel allowing the game to flow. The bigger U-16 team were on top early on and were well marshalled by captain Jacob Bourke who got great support from his half back partner Alex Connors. But the U-15s fought back with some great defence and showed huge improvement in their handling. Captain Brian Bourke led from the front and he was best supported by Peter Sunny and out half Eoin Carr. This was a worthwhile exercise, with little between the squads at the end, for the 40 players involved who showed their ability to a large group of supporters.
