BUSINESS LUNCH ON FRIDAY
Buccaneers Business Networking Lunch takes place in Athlone’s Sheraton Hotel on this Friday, February 16th from 1 pm to 5 pm. Key speakers are Feargal O’Rourke and Julie Ennis with Ronan Berry the conduit as MC at the event.
FEARGAL O’ROURKE recently retired from PwC where he was managing partner for the past eight years. He has recently been appointed for a five-year term to the highly prestigious and key role as Chairman of IDA Ireland. A senior tax adviser to big multinational firms over the years, he is familiar with many of the key issues facing Ireland in attracting foreign direct investment and looks an ideal fit for his new role.
The O’Rourke name is synonymous with the town of Athlone, his mother Mary being a highly valued public representative for decades that included key ministerial roles in Government. His family have a long association with the town’s rugby club where his late father Enda was a highly efficient and popular club secretary for many years.
JULIE ENNIS is CEO Corporate Services Sodexo UK and Ireland and she won the 2022 CEO of the Year Award, an accolade that celebrates Ireland’s foremost female innovators and changemakers. Accepting that honour she stated that it was “a privilege to accept the award because she believed that it is recognition for the 10,000 people that she leads”.
RONAN BERRY hosts Midland Radio’s “Taking Care Of Business” show.
At time of writing there is some limited availability. For bookings or further information contact Geraldine at 0861732711. Cost is €100 per person.
