NATIONAL SCHOOLS BLITZ AT BUCCS
This year’s National Schools Rugby Blitz was held in Buccaneers RFC last week. Seven National Schools had undergone coaching for the previous 8 weeks for their 4th, 5th and 6th classes. The rugby on show during the morning was considered the best ever, particularly on the 5th class pitches where the skill levels were amazing. Many thanks to the principals and teachers of Baylin NS, Cornafulla NS, Ballybay NS, Mount Temple NS, Dean Kelly NS, Gael Scoil Ath Luain NS and Tubberclair NS and their participating boys and girls.
Buccs tag rugby for 7 to 12 year old boys and girls continues on Monday nights from 7 to 8pm in Dubarry Park. Cost is only €10 and everyone welcome and no previous playing experience necessary. Meanwhile, free skills sessions for boys and girls aged 13 to 17 take place on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 12.15 p.m.
