SUPERB IRELAND WIN

Ireland put in two heroic performances away to World champions South Africa over the past couple of weekends. Both games were fiercely competitive with little between the teams as the visitors, ranked No.2 in the world, took on the holders of the top slot. Ciaran Frawley’s last kick of the game drop goal earned Ireland a dramatic but deserved single point victory in Durban. Indeed, but for a couple of contentious decisions by the TMO in the first game at altitude in Johannesburg, Ireland should really be celebrating a historic first series win in South Africa. Well done to Robbie Henshaw (who was immense at times), Finlay Bealham and the remainder of the squad.
