BUCCS HOME TO GALWEGIANS ON FRIDAY NIGHT
BUCCANEERS host Galwegians in the third and final round of the Bank of Ireland Connacht Senior League with the action taking place under the Dubarry Park floodlights on Friday night. Kick-off is 7.30 p.m.
Galwegians were reeled in by a late Sligo rally last weekend, the title-holders coming out on top of a high-scoring contest 36-34. The light blues were also pipped by Corinthians in their opening fixture so will pose serious questions for the Pirates. Adding spice to this encounter will be the appearance of Stephen Mannion in the visitors ranks. Buccs will be boosted by their long overdue but fully justified victory away to Corinthians in which their youthful side demonstrated tremendous workrate and good discipline, ingredients that will be vital for this Friday showdown.
