CREGGS 24 BUCCANEERS 17
BUCCANEERS U-14’s made the short journey to Creggs for Round 3 of the Connacht League Division One on Sunday.
A try by Daniel Murphy got things off to a good start for Buccaneers but the home side responded with two tries, one converted, that gave them a 12-5 lead at half-time. Buccs restarted on a positive note following the change of ends with a try on the wing by Donnacha O’Sullivan. Creggs again replied with a brace of tries to edge 24-10 ahead.
But the young Buccs remained focussed and determined, and in the final minutes of the game Fearghal Kelly scored a try which Corey Kelly converted. This completed the 24-17 scoreline in favour of the hosts.
