LOUGHREA 0 BUCCANEERS 66
BUCCANEERS proved much too strong for Loughrea when the sides met in the opening round of the Connacht U-17 Cup with the Athlone outfit coasting to a 66-0 victory in wet and windy conditions at the Co. Galway venue on Sunday.
All players from the matchday squad were utilised and they all contributed handsomely as they ran in 10 tries, 8 of which were converted by Andrew Cotton. Next up is a home game against sterner opposition when Sligo come to Dubarry Park on weekend of March 1st.
