BUCCANEERS qualified for the final of the Connacht U-18.5 Cup with a clearcut 35-0 victory over Castlebar-Westport in ideal conditions at Dubarry Park on Sunday. Despite the unavailability of their two Ireland Schools internationals Andrew Henson and Leo Anic, Buccs proved much too strong for the amalgamated outfit scoring 5 converted tries in the process.
They will renew rivalry with Galway Corinthians in the decider as they bid to retain the trophy but the outcome is difficult to forecast as these two squads are very evenly matched. Corinthians won the U-17 Cup last season while Buccs triumphed in the League.
Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery are extended to the injured visiting player.
