BUCCANEERS 29 BALLINA 8
Buccaneers RFC entertained Ballina in the Connacht U-16s boys cup semi- final replay at Dubarry Park on Sunday.
A focused Buccs outfit came out on top of a physical encounter. Ballina opened the scoring with a penalty but Buccs quickly replied with a well taken try from Elliot Friel. Despite opportunities at both ends that was the last score of an error strewn first half.
Ballina got a try against the run of play and now Buccaneers game started to flow with two training ground tries from powerful No 8 Adam Murphy which were converted by Darragh Murray who also slotted a penalty. Buccaneers scored the last try through a maul, finished off by the improving Callum McCormack to leave the final score at 29-8.
