BUCCANEERS 8 OUR LADY’S BOYS CLUB 44
Title favourites and table toppers Our Lady’s Boys Club proved much too strong for a gallant and willing Buccaneers team when the sides met in the Connacht Womens League in Athlone on Sunday when the Galway girls won 44-8. The feisty Aoibhe Kelly scored a try and kicked a penalty for the home team for whom Mele Kiripati rolled back the years to play alongside her daughter Ivana in the Buccs colours. Meanwhile younger daughter Merisa (only 15) was playing for Connacht U-18’s against Leinster on the adjoining main pitch at Dubarry Park!
