CUP DOUBLE FOR BUCCS YOUTHS TEAMS
Congratulations to Buccaneers U-15 and U-17 squads who completed a memorable Connacht Cup double at The Sportsground, Galway.
Buccs Black team proved much too strong for gallant Creggs in the U-15 decider in which the Athlone side dominated from the start to record a comprehensive 37-12 victory.
The U-17 final was a tighter affair but once Buccs took the lead they never trailed thereafter as they came out on top against Corinthians after a terrific contest by 27-15. Victory was all the sweeter for the Athlonians as the Galway outfit had previously beaten the midlanders in recent finals.
