AIL FIXTURES PUBLISHED
The fixtures list for the 2024-25 Energia All-Ireland League has been published and Buccaneers kick off life in Division 2A against newly promoted Instonians. This will be a tough opener for the Pirates as the Belfast club enjoyed a 32-match winning streak until Sligo pipped them by a point near the end of last season.
The following two fixtures are against MU-Barnhall and Cashel both of whom reached the promotion play-offs. This season Buccs will have a Connacht derby when they square off against the second promoted side Galway Corinthians. These already anticipated derbies take place either side of the Christmas break and would make ideal Friday night floodlight festive fixtures. At time of publication all the Athlone club’s matches are scheduled to take place on Saturdays. Make a note of the dates!
