GOLF CLASSIC 2024

GOLF CLASSIC WINNERS 2024

BUCCANEERS Rugby Football Club’s annual Golf Classic had a full entry list at Glasson Lakehouse as the event maintains its popularity.

Scoring was good and keen in the near perfect weather and course conditions with the victorious quartet of Austin Hanley, Eamonn Barrett, Lexie Stronge and Michael Piggott compiling a century of points to secure top spot. Perennial participants of the classic, they had two points to spare over their nearest challengers as a number of teams closely battled for the major honour.

Brigid Glynn won the Ladies ‘nearest the pin at the 11th hole’ prize and Marion O’Shea had the longest drive at the preceding hole. In the Mens section, Paul Kelly won the longest drive at the 16th hole with Alan Cunningham taking the ‘nearest the pin’ honour at the following hole.

Buccaneers RFC thank everyone who supported this fund-raiser by participating or sponsoring a Tee and to our club volunteers on the day. Special merit to all at Glasson Lakehouse for the fine food and service and especially for having the course in splendid condition.
