WINNING START FOR U-16’s
Buccaneers U-16s opened their season with a fine win against last year’s Leinster cup and league champions Newbridge at home on Sunday.
Buccs played some fine attacking rugby with good offloading and mostly solid defending. Some topclass jackaling and counter rucking kept Buccs in the game leading to a 19 -10 win. Buccs tries were scored by John Finnan and Cillian O’Donohue (2) with Eoin Carr landing two conversions before Newbridge scored late on. Best for Buccs were Sean O’Hara, Myles Fallon and Adam Murphy in the forwards and Finnan, Elliot Friel and O’Donohue pick of the backs.
