BUCCANEERS 17 NENAGH ORMONDE 12
Nenagh Ormonde were the visitors to Dubarry Park on Sunday to play an U-15 friendly. Buccaneers played with the wind in the first half and started strongly but were unable to put points on the board through a lack of penetration at vital moments. Indeed it was the visitors who opened the scoring after poor tackling allowed a Nenagh player too much latitude.
Good handling enabled Sean Norton to score a fine try. Nenagh scored next before Norton got his second touchdown after a good series of recycled interplay. Scores were now level. Buccs kept playing and after the forwards drove a number of times some slick handling put Niall Donohue over in the corner.
Norton and Donohue were best in the backs along with captain Joe Hurley.
In the forwards Jack Monaghan and Oscar Killeen were to the fore.
