MULLINGAR 22 BUCCANEERS 41
Buccaneers U-15s travelled to Mullingar on Sunday where they played on one of their astro pitches. After a focused warm up, Buccs started the stronger and went into an early lead when Dylan Moran executed a pre-rehearsed move and finished near the sticks. Playing some superb rugby in cold conditions Buccs were well ahead at the break but could not maintain their focus in the second period. Sloppy defence and poor tackling let the home side in for easy scores as the Athlone boys fitness was found wanting. In the end Buccs won 41- 22 with Fergal Kelly and Aaron Costelloe each scoring a brace and Oisin Daly, Will Browne and Moran scoring one each.
