CONGRATULATIONS
Lots of congratulations this week including for Westmeath and Roscommon senior footballers on their provincial triumphs. Buccaneers had representation in both squads. Conor Ryan (who played U-20s rugby a season ago) and Ruaidhri Fallon were both influential in the Rossies victory over Galway. Meanwhile Ray Connellan, who was a vital cog in the Lake Counties side win and won the Man of the Match award, has also featured for the Pirates where his family have a long association. Well done to both squads on their merited victories, overcoming the warm favourites in both deciders.
Congrats too to Buccaneers U-20s lock Leo Anic on being selected as Connacht Rugby U-19 Player of the Year which rounds off a wonderful season for the ex-Creggs player. Well done too to Marist College on being named Connacht Rugby School of the Year.
