AMERICAN FOOTBALL FINALS ON SATURDAY
American Football Ireland is holding a Triple Header Championship finals day at Dubarry Park on this coming Saturday, July 19th, with a full day’s action in prospect. The finals are sponsored by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The first decider has local interest with the Westmeath Minotaurs squaring up to the Louth Mavericks in the Harp Bowl final at 12.15 p.m. This is the Division One final while the Premiership duel for the Shamrock Bowl features Belfast Trojans and last season’s title winners UCD at 6 p.m.
In between the Ladies will be contesting for the Claddagh Bowl which this decider getting under way at 4 p.m. At time of writing, the finalists have not yet been decided so the Womens quarter-finals and semi-finals are scheduled to take place earlier in the day so early comers will have a full day of American Football. The event also features cheerleaders and aviation aerial acrobatics while The Bounty will be open for food and beverages.
