Congratulations to two members of Buccaneers U-18.5 team, ANDREW HENSON and LEO ANIC, who have been named in the Ireland U-18 Schools squad. They will play England in Cork in a game that is part of the IRFU 150 celebrations on March 29th. Then in April Ireland have Six Nations Festival fixtures against Wales, Scotland and Georgia in Vichy, France.
It has been an exciting time for Henson recently as the second of his two tries snatched a dramatic Connacht Schools Senior Cup final victory for Marist College against Sligo Grammar last week. A versatile back at rugby, he is also an adept Gaelic player with his club Garrycastle and has also represented Westmeath minors.
Roscommon CBS student Anic came through the youths system up to U-17’s at Creggs RFC and the lock joined Buccs this season where he is a teammate of Henson.
