STRONG BIDDING ENSURES SUCCESSFUL AUCTION
BUCCANEERS PREMIUM AUCTION in The Bounty proved a most successful fund-raiser for the club last Sunday. Lots of interesting and coveted items up for grabs so a sincere thanks to everyone who contributed or donated these. Thanks too to everyone who attended with some strong bidding occurring but we won’t reveal here the successful bidder for the vasectomy!
A word of praise to the two auctioneers Joe Naughton and Seamus Downes. Joe steered matters along at a nice tempo while the evergreen Seamus, deputising at short notice for Francis Kearney who was ill, added his own style and humour to the proceedings. Gratitude especially goes to the small organising sub-committee that included Eoin Reid, Gerry McInerney, Geraldine Kenny, Michael Ganly, Frank Kelly, Niall Quinn and Patrick O’Meara. A massive “Thank You” to everyone.
