Table toppers Connemara proved much too strong for Buccaneers when coasting to a 48-0 Connacht Junior 1A League victory on the centre pitch at Dubarry Park. Two early tries by the visitors ensured that the outcome would be along anticipated lines as the powerful and slick Blacks had the potency and organisation to control this tie. Connemara, who look well capable of playing at AIL level, travel to their closest challengers Creggs next weekend. Meanwhile Buccs, who were not helped by injuries to Niall Harney and Andrew McAleer, must regroup and revitalise ahead of their trip to Westport as they strive to climb away from the basement.
