Buccaneers U-14s had home advantage for the Round 2 Connacht League match against Westport on Sunday. The game was played in perfect Autumn conditions, resulting in an entertaining encounter. Westport opened the scoring with an early converted try, followed swiftly by a try for the home side by Daniel Murphy. Buccaneers kept momentum with another try by Robert Connor leaving the scoreline at half time Buccs 10 Westport 7.

Westport opened the second half with a try followed again by try for Buccs by Fergal Kelly, converted by Corey Kelly. Westport scored a deserved converted try in the final 2 minutes. However, Buccaneers showed great character and determination scoring a final try in virtually the last play of the game by Fergal Kelly, resulting in a win for the hosts.
