BUCCANEERS MOURN PASSING OF FORMER PRESIDENT
Buccaneers Rugby Football Club is mourning the passing after illness of PATRICK McMANUS, who was club President in season 1999/2000.
Dubliner Pat made a significant contribution to the club following his arrival to Athlone. He held many positions over a number of decades including Senior squad manager as well as roles with youths teams. The highlight of his involvement was being elected President at the turn of the millenium. His other sporting/leisure passions would have included boating on the river Shannon, music and travel.
Heartfelt sympathy is extended to his wife Marie, sons Philip, James and Patrick and daughters Linda and Marie, and also to the wider family, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.
