BUCCANEERS 36 CONNEMARA 7

BUCCANEERS THIRDS finally got to taste action when they kicked off their Connacht Junior 2 League campaign with an emphatic 36-7 victory over Connemara Seconds at Dubarry Park on Sunday.

This was a great overall team performance with the game being controlled by Buccs throughout. Cameron Brill, Luke Callinan and Keith Grehan put in a huge amount of work in the forwards exchanges in testing weather conditions while David Fagan, Harry Hughes and debutant Leon O’Connor shone in the backline.

Hughes, Callinan, Fagan, Keelan Connolly, Rory Grenham and Robbie Mahon were Buccs try scorers with Fagan adding three conversions. Training takes place on Friday nights 7 p.m. and new players (with or without rugby playing experience) are most welcome.
