BUCCS AWAY TO SKERRIES

BUCCS AWAY TO SKERRIES

BUCCANEERS travel to Holmpatrick on Saturday afternoon to take on Skerries in the sixth round of the Energia All-Ireland League. This Division 2B game has a 2.30 p.m. kick off. The north Dublin club sit in mid table and will be boosted by an away victory at Malone last time out. Meanwhile, Buccs after improving game by game, will wish to banish the off-colour display when losing at home to Navan. Hopefully, the Pirates skipper Corey Reid will be fit to return to action and that the collective squad will step up on their last showing. Even at this early stage in the campaign this is a match that Buccs must get something from but nothing less than 100% workrate, discipline and focus will suffice.

U-20s HOME TO QUEENS

BUCCANEERS U-20s square up to leaders Queen’s University in their J.P.Fanagan Premier League 2 fixture at Dubarry Park on Sunday when the action gets under way at 2.30 p.m. After three convincing victories, the Students winning run came to an end last weekend when Naas held them to a draw at Forenaughts. This will be an acid test for the Pirates as they are likely to be missing a number of key players who will surely be involved in the Senior game away to Skerries. Nevertheless, there is a decent depth in their squad and, if they eliminate the frustrating errors made at Wanderers, this match could be a cracker.

WOMENS TEAM AWAY IN LOUGHREA

BUCCANEERS WOMENS team travel to Loughrea on Sunday where they face combination side Southeast Galway Warriors in the Connacht League. Kick-off is 1 p.m.
