BUCCS PLAYER IN NEW ‘GAME OF THRONES’ SPIN-OFF

Former Buccaneers player PETER CLAFFEY has landed a plum role in the latest “GAME OF THRONES” spin-off series “A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms”. Born in Portumna, the 27-year-old attended Garbally College. He played with Buccaneers for a number of seasons, winning Senior Cup and League honours, whilst also with Connacht Academy. An exciting lock he also played for Ireland U-20s when James Ryan was his second row partner. He won Audi Athlone Man of the Match awards against Old Wesley and Queen’s University when wearing the Pirates colours. He transferred to Terenure College where his interest in acting took over while in Dublin.
