BUCCS PLAYERS TO WATCH OUT FOR ON YOUR SCREENS!
Watch out for two Buccaneers players on your screens shortly. First up is Ireland Sevens star Jordan Conroy in a new series “Man Up?” on RTE2 TV on Monday evenings at 5.30 p.m. The Tullamore man explores what makes a man in the modern world as he mentors ten teenage boys.
Former player Peter Claffey, who won Connacht Senior Cup and League titles with Buccs whilst a member of Connacht’s Academy, has secured a plum lead role in the latest “Game of Thrones” spin-off series “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms”. He will play the role of Ser Duncan the Tall (at 6’5” he is well qualified!). Portumna native Claffey learned his rugby at Garbally College and partnered James Ryan at lock for Ireland U-20s in 2016-17 season.
