CREGGS 10 BUCCANEERS 5
Buccaneers U-13s made the trip to Creggs on Sunday afternoon to play in glorious sunshine. A slow start by our boys had us under pressure for most of the first half resulting in a deserved halftime score of 10 – 0 in favour of the hosts. Our performance was much better in the second half with good leadership being shown by Captain of the day Charlie Donohue along with strong carries by Darragh Campbell, Max Walsh and Eoghan Silke showing us the way. Despite having the lion’s share of possession in the second half we couldn’t put a dent into the scoreboard until Campbell scored an opportunistic try with the last play of the game.
Very proud of all our boys’ efforts today and they continued to show the true spirit of rugby after the game when Charlie and Cooper swept out the dressing room before we left for home.
Training continues on Wednesday at 7.30 and all newcomers (boys born in 2012) are welcome to join and “give Rugby a Try”.
