GALWAY BAY 22 BUCCANEERS 29
Buccaneers U-16s played Galway Bay in the picturesque Dangan ground on Saturday and came away with a 29-22 victory.
Despite a delayed kick-off this Buccs team got up and running due to the astute kicking of outhalf Andrew Cotton and the kick chase of the team which was clinical.
So clinical that Buccs were leading 24-5 at half time. A sloppy second half saw the home side scoring 3 times with Buccs adding only 1 try.
Although the GB final try was at the end of the game Buccs were under the pump for the last 10 minutes. On top in lineouts and scrums, Buccs will have to improve their defence and fitness to progress further.
