NIALL MURRAY and FINLAY BEALHAM on URC ELITE XV
Two Buccaneers players NIALL MURRAY and FINLAY BEALHAM have been selected on the BKY United Rugby Championship’s Elite XV for the 2022/23 season. This is a wonderful honour for the Connacht duo. Murray led the league for lineout steals with 17 while prop Bealham, who played key role in Ireland’s grand slam Six Nations success, joins him in this squad. Proud of ye, guys.
ANNA McGANN & IRELAND QUALIFY FOR OLYMPICS 2023
Congrats too to Athlone’s ANNA McGANN and BEIBHINN PARSONS from Ballinasloe who helped Ireland Womens Sevens squad qualify for next summer’s Olympic Games in France. This is Ireland’s first time to qualify for the Womens tournament, the Mens squad having reached the Tokyo Games. McGann plays with Railway Union but commenced her rugby exploits at Buccaneers Summer Tag League. Congrats girls and best of luck in France.
