BUCCANEERS J1’s play Westport in the Connacht Junior 1A League under the Dubarry Park floodlights on Saturday night with the action getting under way at 7 p.m. Buccs are propping up this league table but have a squad capable of faring much better. If they stop conceding penalties, many needlessly, eliminate handling errors and nourish possession of the ball, Buccaneers can retrieve their situation.
BUCCANEERS J2’s are also at home this weekend. They take on Loughrea in the Connacht Junior 2 League in Athlone on Sunday at 2.30 p.m. Both these clubs seem to be evenly matched, lying in the lower regions of the league table. Home advantage may prove vital to Buccs as would some training by this particular group!
BUCCANEERS U-20’s have no fixture and their match against Corinthians was postponed last weekend due to weather/pitch conditions in Galway.
