LADIES DAY
The growing popularity of Ladies Day at Buccaneers RFC continued on Saturday last with a big turnout for the ‘Prosecco by the Pitch’ pre-match function in The Bounty. A special mention must go to some brave young men from the City of Armagh club who along with Patrick Hynes stepped in when there was a shortage of waiters to serve the ladies. Wonderful to witness cross border goodwill that is notably stronger among sports clubs than it seems to be among political parties! Thanks too to chief organisers Lorna Stuart-Trainor, Sandra Feary, Judy Dowling and Geraldine Kenny. Congratulations to all the prize-winners especially Mary Clarke who won the Best Dressed Lady accolade.
