SCIENCE SCRUM – an evening exploring the science of rugby!!
If you like a good game of rugby, have you ever stopped to consider all of the science it involves. Everything from the science of fitness to the physics of the game provides a great chance to learn more about science and rugby. This evening will be facilitated by leading science communicator Dr Craig Slattery of UCD and he will be in conversation with Ireland flyhalf Jack Carty and former Irish international Rosie Foley. You’ll never look at a game of rugby in the same way again!! We are having this event at the home of rugby in Athlone – Buccaneers RFC and you’ll also enjoy some tasty finger food at the event from the Bounty Bar.
Midland Science is organising this event which takes place on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 7th from 19.30 to 21.00 GMT. Admission to the event is FREE but you must pre-book on Eventbrite.ie.
