Buccaneers RFC is greatly indebted to a large band of volunteers who ensured the successful hosting of all three matches for Connacht over a busy weekend at the club. A considerable amount of preparatory work had been put in prior to the weekend and special thanks goes to Frank Sheeran, Senan Downes, Barry Reid, Damien Phelan and Michael Cleary for their leadership.
We thank everyone who attended the matches with the crowds flocking to Athlone demonstrating that there is considerable support for representative rugby in the area that could possibly be tapped into better by Connacht and the IRFU.
