U-15s play Carrick
Buccaneers U-15s played Cup Winners Carrick-on-Shannon on a blustery day at Dubarry Park on Sunday. Buccs were caught napping when failing to clear their lines after 5 minutes to concede a soft 5 pointer. Storming back Buccs were loath to use the brisk wind but managed to get a well taken score from Leroy Boakye which was converted by Jason Heneghan.
Ahead at the break Buccs changed the whole 15 for the second half. Carrick managed to score 3 tries in the second half to Buccs one. Buccs did well in the scrums but were under pressure in lineouts and in defence from the big Carrick pack. All 33 players were used which augurs well for the 2 teams entered in the league.
Best for Buccs were Saran Griffiths, Jack Costello and Will Browne in the backs and Tomi Afinkaye, Conor Burke and Jordan Murray in the forwards. Killian Moran, Thomas Raynor and Harry Mc Evoy made their debuts. Team apart from aforementioned:- Luke Clancy, Jack Monaghan, Harry Dolan, Oisin Gannon, Peter McGuirk, Danny Murphy, Oscar Killeen, Tadgh Rohan, Owen Kelly, Joe Hurley, Rob Connor, Fergal Kelly, Niall Donoghue, Thomas Rayner, Oisin Daly, Naccho Rayham, Riann McKenna, Alex Connaughton, Dylan Moran and Donnacha O’Sullivan.
