Buccaneers U-15’s continued their good form with a win on the road in Gort on Sunday. From the start the Buccs lads pinned the home team into their own 22 and eventually Ryan Gahan stormed through the defence to score under the posts. Michael Kilclyne got the second after a loose kick by the defence before Sean McCarthy outstripped his opposite number to score in the corner.
In the second half Gort came back into the game with a couple of scores but Peadar Dolan scored after good approach play and though Gort responded Buccs got the final score when the irrepressible Dylan Lally crashed over on the full time hooter.
This was a tough game for this Buccs team and no one played better than Matthew Fallon, Sean Rohan and Fionn Lyons in the forwards and Kilclyne, Eoghan Killeen and Finn Duffy in the backs. Both Buccs teams are looking stronger as the season progresses and, with a few injuries on the mend, looking good for the future for the large U-15 squad.
