CORINTHIANS 15 BUCCANEERS 28
Buccaneers ‘yellow’ squad played their first Connacht U-15 League game of the season at Corinthian Park on Saturday and came away with a 28-15 victory. Starting well Buccs scored some great tries but over-elaborating squandered a few other chances when an extra pass may have been a better option. Making changes early, Buccs played some enterprising ball and a large crowd were well entertained by the handling and support play of these Buccs boys.
Corinthians ‘blue’ came back strongly and Buccs were outflanked on a number of occasions. Indeed the home side recovered to trail 21-15 before Buccs put together a great score before the finish. Best of the 23 boy squad for Buccs were Tadgh Coleman, Danny Cleary and Hugo Hannan in the forwards and Sean Brett, Noah Stewart and Jacob Bourke in the backs.
