WOMENS TEAM HOME TO OLBC IN CUP SEMI-FINAL
BUCCANEERS WOMENS team are also in Cup action, their new alliance with Corinthians now facing Our Lady’s Boys Club in the Connacht Womens Cup semi-final at Dubarry Park on Sunday where the action gets under way at 1 p.m.
OLBC will be strongly fancied on the evidence of their 100% league record this season. But the Buccaneers/Corinthians combination were very efficient and committed despite their lack of preparation when accounting for Westport in the quarter-final. The ‘Barbarians’, as they were nick-named (or should that be ‘Barbies’!) were not found wanting at key stages in that win and if they further jell they will ask serious questions of the Boys Club girls.
